RGBW and RGBCW for Roofline Lighting
Choose the required white-light experience and match the LED channels, driver protocol and controller firmware for the exact roofline fixture revision.
What do the channel names mean?
RGB uses red, green and blue emitters. RGBW adds a dedicated white channel. RGBCW commonly adds separate warm-white and cool-white channels; confirm how the supplier uses the name and how the controller maps those channels.
Compare the light, not just the channel count
Evaluate white-channel color temperature, brightness, color consistency and the required effect. The published C5204, C5205, C5206 and P23A catalog references describe RGBW with a 3000K white channel. Alternative channel arrangements should be specified as separate model revisions.
Confirm controller mapping
- LED / driver IC and data protocol
- Channel order and number of channels per pixel
- Controller firmware profile and pixel limit
- Power requirement for the permitted channel combinations
- App controls for white balance, dimming and zones
Sample acceptance
Compare red, green, blue and dedicated-white scenes, then evaluate dimming and mixed scenes. Test a complete branch with the intended controller and extension lengths. Confirm the approved sample rather than applying one module's assumptions to another.
Apply this to your project
